a man's gotta be a man

So I was driving to work today, in my shitty little beater of a car, when this broad drove by me. This is a story about disgust. Most of my stories are about looking around and getting grossed out by shit I see. I'm gonna come out and say it now, I hate everything, and that includes everything you hold dear. She had vanity plates on her car, which is nearly a sin by itself. These vanity plates read (FUCK BLOGGER KEEPS ON THINKING THIS SHIT IS AN HTML TAG) well, I read them as "(I) Heart Sigur Ros". Listen, I don't know much about Collegiate Greek Organizations, but I've always assumed there's one dude in every frat who is maybe a fraction hipper, the "indie rocker" if you will. "Brian is really cool, man! He listens to such far-out music!" except Brian is a garden-variety fratboy with a headband and women's Keds and those "far-out" jams are Sigur Ros. Fucking undersea music. I'd rather fart in my own ear. I make it a point to avoid things that really impress the future real estate agents of America. That's my battle plan and I think it works out well.

In the future Brian will probably pay a bunch of Mexicans to do some construction work on a SuperFund site and go to jail. Such a nice, wholesome, American boy.

Thought I'd inaugurate this blog by posting some music I've been playing the shit out of.

Watchmaker, KILL. FUCKING. EVERYONE.

This is Boston's Watchmaker. They released a few albums and disappeared. It's EXTREME death/grind. Kind of too slow for grind but not really death either. Straddles the two genres. It's really, really chaotic, wild-sounding. It basically sounds like chaos. That's the word I'm gonna stick with. I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to take it seriously, but at the same time I can't help but bang my head. It's so over-the-top. This singer sounds like a fucking maniac. Like a rabid dog or something. I think if I saw Watchmaker walking down the street I'd say, "fuck, those were the most metal dudes I've ever seen in my life." Watchmaker sound really unique to me. I don't think I've ever heard anything that's heavy in quite the same way. I fucking love it
